Reader, TL:DR:
When I was 6 years old, I took swimming lessons. The coach saw potential in me, suggesting I had what it takes for the Olympics by the time I reached the age of 16. Growing up, I loved sports. However, factors like stress, environment, nutrition, and dealing with PCOS, hearing loss and fatigue factored in the lack of discipline and focus required. Attending the Olympics as a spectator is still a dream, and I'm thankful for having visited Paris early on. This weekend, you'll find me glued to the TV screen for basketball, swimming, track and field (athletics), and the opening ceremony. From a branding and marketing angle: be sure to pay attention to the commercials and ads to see who decided to be sponsors. Also Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart are commentators for it. Kevin Hart hosts his own Olympic-style game show which you can watch on Peacock TV (NBC's Streaming App). Attending the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 remains a bucket list item, and if it's meant to be, I will be there, especially since I've recently connected with someone on the planning committee.
