What I'm Watching

For those who know me, it's no secret that I'm one of Usher's biggest fans. Following in the footsteps of Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, Usher released his concert film, Usher Rendezvous in Paris, in theaters. After watching it (available until September 15), not only was I inspired to see him perform live internationally in 2025, but I also observed his press run and noted the launch of his own film company during breaks in his Vegas residency in fall 2023. This has motivated me to spend the coming weeks interviewing people in my life and documenting a day in my life, while also having someone interview me for my documentary. I’m reminded of Beyoncé’s Life is But a Dream documentary from 2013, which featured a lot of phone and computer camera footage. If she can do it, I can too. And so can you, if this spoke to you.

Greetings Reader, September 20th is always an exciting time for me. It's a reminder that there are 90 days until my birthday and 98 days until the last major holiday season of the year from a corporate/business/retail/marketing standpoint. These last 90 days are a reminder to push hard so you're set up for your definition of success! At the time of this message, I am on a plane, beginning my journey. Greetings Reader, It's National Grief Awareness Day. Grief is love that remains unsaid. Grief for loved ones who are both still with us and those who are no longer here. Grief for the loss of an unborn child, survivor's remorse, and even the grief over a relationship that has ended. Grief is valid for the person that you used to be as well. It's okay to grieve your old life as you transform into a new one. If you're looking for more inspiration, I invite you to listen to two previous episodes...
