Weekly Roundup: Love is Blind, Social Media Updates, Enhancing Your Digital Brand

It’s been an emotional week, hasn’t it, Reader?

I've been reflecting on my father's passing, which feels like ages ago even though it's only been four months. As the online event production manager for a weekly relationship seminar, I've had some personal revelations about my past marriage and courtships. I've been reminiscing with gratitude about the high standards my dad set, and I miss him dearly, especially as I navigate upcoming speaking engagements on my own. His absence is profound, especially because he used to be my chauffeur on road trip-worthy events.

What I'm Watching on Netflix until the Paralympics return to Peacock on August 28

I binge-watched the final season of "The Umbrella Academy," a sci-fi series involving timeline jumps. I also started watching the documentary "Daughters," which explores Angela Patton's father-daughter dances in the DC, Maryland, Virginia Prison system. Although I couldn't finish it due to the emotional depth, I went down a rabbit hole and stumbled upon Angela Patton's TEDx talk from ten years ago, where the documentary's opening quote originated. It was truly inspiring.

I then watched the recently premiered "Love is Blind UK." Despite never watching the "Love is Blind" franchise before, the UK edition captivated me. It's intriguing to play detective on social media, noticing insights into personal growth and psychological dynamics, while predicting the couples who will still be together at the reunion. Interestingly, I noticed a guy who resembles my ideal partner, serving as a prototype for what I seek in a marriage. Observing his journey reassures me that my future husband is out there. The show's depiction of traditional marital practices resonates deeply with me. I found parallels to my own experiences. I discussed my marriage and divorce in previous See Life Different podcast episodes which you can listen to here and here. I am already envisioning the moment my future husband becomes a guest on my show, completing a full circle.

The Latest Digital Marketing Update and How to Use It to Build Your Digital Footprint

You are now allowed 20 carousels on a single Instagram post. While the feature's effectiveness remains unclear to me, I encourage you to experiment with it. Remember to engage, motivate, and inspire your audience using quotes, images, GIFs, and videos times five. It's a fantastic opportunity to engage your audience and showcase your brand in a creative way through meaningful content that resonates.

Recently, I held a free marketing strategy session with an entrepreneur who champions local CEOs on her platform, monthly. I was offered the opportunity to share my expertise during next month’s virtual session. I shared with her my topics and encouraged her to build her digital footprint. This interaction reminded me to articulate to her the importance of building a digital footprint for an online brand. By showcasing her identity and services through the videos, she can effectively reach new audiences and strengthen her brand presence. It's all about educating, motivating, and inspiring others. Seeking a tailored approach to enhance your thought leadership? I am here for a consultation and will be hosting monthly Zoom sessions on Tuesday evenings starting in September within my community membership group channel which you can learn more about at the end of this message.
